Cabbages in same place again?
« on: May 12, 2020, 09:44 »
Hi. Any advice or comments welcome. I have no option than to grow my cabbage/sprouts etc in the same patch as last year. Luckily I have no problems with root fly or club root, just cabbage white butterflies ::) Has anyone else done this with good/bad results? Is there anything I should add to the soil to help? Thanks

I've grown mine successfully in the same spot for the last three years. I'm only moving them this year as last year they were all a bit feeble and feel I've exhausted the nutrients in the soil for them. Hoping moving them may give the new lot a bit more of a boost.

Ideally you move every year, but I see minimal risk in growing them back to back if you get back to rotating afterwards.
