Cabbage root fly
« on: July 27, 2018, 14:53 »
I've a lot of pots of various cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower which I've been holding onto because the potatoes were still taking up most of my space and also with the dry/hot weather I thought it would be easier keeping them healthy and watered in pots rather than in a nursery bed.

I've been noticing that they didn't seem to have put on much growth. Some have yellowing leaves etc. A couple gave up completely.

Anyway...I've found tiny white grubs and very little root on the very poorly ones.
Is there any point in planting them out now that we've just had some rain? Or do I give up on them? If I give up are there any cabbages, broccoli  etc. that I can sow now to replace them? I'll be sowing my Spring cabbage next week.
Thanks for any advice
