Dorset Naga
« on: February 21, 2018, 11:10 »
Hi, a fairly amatuer chilli grower here wanting to record my first attempt at growing Dorset Nagas.

Ive taken some pictures 1 month after sowing the seeds and this is how they look,  I know these are meant to be slow growing plants but with not many pictures of people growing these things I havnt got anything to compare their progress to and Im worried that there not making enough progress.

Im also curious about a few of the plants in particular. Is it normal/harmful to have the seed attached to the leaf?  Also is it normal to have the second set of leaves growing with such a size difference?

(Im 90% sure these are naga's , I had some bolivian rainbows on the same windowsill but got the labels wet, these where the only plants that germinated and the bolivians where fairly old seeds)

First of all they look healthy and not leggy.
Super hots can be slow growers, I dont have any on the go this year but to compare my Lemon Aji's see photo, sowed three weeks ago. Mine are in my grow tent under 300 watt LEDs for 12 hours a day.
No need to worry about the seed shell on the leaf and as you can see real leafs are different to the seed leaf.
Dorset Naga leaves are broader than the rainbow and the plant will be much bigger so you will know once they get bigger which is which.
Don't worry too much once temps and light levels increase they will put on a growth spurt.

Punk isn't dead...it's underground where it belongs. If it comes to the surface it's no longer punk...it's Green Day!
