hi all i planted some beetroot seeds on tuesday and they have started to sprout all ready is this right ??? the tomato seeds i planted on monday havent started to show yet so how come the beetroot has and the tomato seeds havent both been kept in the same place im a bit confused  :?  :?:  also what eles can i plant at home to later take to my greenhouse ??? thanks
need all the help i can get and not just with my allotment

Different seeds, different germination time and temperature. Not to be a spoil joy, but it is also possible to have too warm for beetroot and too cold for tomatoes, which are good germinators and usually come up within a week.

Much too warm IMO.  Beetroot is particularly prone to bolting from an early sowing.  Even if you can harden these off, I would doubt whether any would make it to edible size.

Plan on resowing outdoors in April or May.  Boltardy is a good variety for the earlier sowings.

its boltardy that ive got and i have now moved them to a cooler spot. i didnt plant all the seeds i just wanted to see how they would do but thanks for the advice  :wink:
