Potatoes have done well. Leeks are doing well and are almost ready to pull, earlier than expected, although found one which was bolting (again!). Chard rather mediocre and bolted in the very dry first half of summer. Some of the carrots grew for once but the roots have been attacked by slugs (cool damp weather during end of July/early August a factor there), might not bother next year. Climbing beans seem to have struggled a bit this year and have not got much of a crop, this happening after I decided to grow fewer of them this year after having way too many beans last year  ::). Brassicas are struggling along but have since found out I forgot to sow some curly Kale. The fruit bushes are doing nothing (again!) so they will likely be coming out and disposed of over autumn. My Little Gem squash plants which I had planted in a greenhouse raised bed and ended up taking over succumbed to powdery mildew, by the time I had removed the badly affected foliage I had no plants left  :(.

Except for your potatoes that all sounds a bit of a sad season. Still time for later crops though, which may fare better... hope so  :)
