Sowing tray
« on: January 28, 2008, 18:20 »
I bought a kit out of poundland for growing spring oniions. It came with the compost, seeds tray and clear plastic bit for over the top which i can't remember the name for now.

Anyway I sowed the seeds, watered them and put the plastic thing over the top and put it in the cupboard like it says. I was wondering though, there are no holes in the bottom of the tray, won't the seeeds rot?
I don't have a drink problem. I drink, I get drunk, I pass out. No Problem.

just make sure you dont give too much water, keep them just damp.
If it wasn't for chemicals we'd be organic.

If drainage worries you, you can always pierce the planter bottom with something sharp and set the works over a proper drain tray. When I'm working with makeshift planters, I put a layer of perlite on the bottom and then the potting mix on top.
