[Enfield Glen]

Never had this before but something is pulling up my onions and eating some of them. Every time I go over the allotment there are 4 or 5 been attacked. They are completely covered by mesh so its not birds, I can only assume I have very hungry mice, anyone else had this?

Not heard of this before but if, as you say, it can't be birds, I'd think rats perhaps?

It is almost certainly mice. I believe that birds are often blamed for pulling onions out when mice are the culprits.
