[Hampshire Hog]

Hi all I have a fairly bad infestation of white fly on my Brussels plants leading to an associated black mould on leaves. Has anyone any experience of getting rid of these blighters?? Would washing the mould off affected leaves do any good? I have harvested a few small sprouts today but wonder how much damage is being done.

Probably best to sort out the whitefly first, as they are the cause of the problem, and can spoil your crop;  you can end up with sprouts that are black with mould on the outside and have aphids inside them.

We use comfrey tea, very smelly but the whitefly hates it, but it needs to be use often.

There are many on mine too, good year for these

Spray them with Fairy Liquid , spray them once a week for 3 weeks with a mixture of 5 litres of water mixed with a squirt of Fairy, the same amount you would use to wash your dishes in the sink .i've used this method for years and it works .

No but it kills the White Fly .
