Hi Everybody
Just taken on my first allotment it has sowthisle on it.
How do i get rid of it there is alot spread around?

Hi there, welcome to the forum.
You can either dig up the roots of sow thistle, or spray with glyphosate if you don't mind using chemicals.

of all the weeds, sow thistle is so easy to remove - the roots are fairly shallow so the smaller ones can just be hand pulled out, or use a fork under the root ball to help lift it up

Although it's a pain in the rear end with all the seeds blowing everywhere I always leave a few of them dotted around the beds as they bring in so many beneficial insects. They seem to be a magnet for hoverflies (whose larvae consume huge amounts of aphid) in my experience.
