I've uncovered four on my plots so far, and I haven't started digging anything over yet!

Why so many this year?

Lots of flying ants last year = lots of queens plus a mild winter could be the answer .

Either that or they have a cunning plan and are gathering to get you!

 I have an ant nest in my en-suite, sandwiched between two sheets of glass. Very interesting to watch while sitting on the 'throne'.

I have at least 8 in my garden and loads at the plot but they're red ants I've only come across two black ant nests
