Among the fruit tree saplings we planted last year there are two pears, a Conference and a Concorde.  Each of them has nibbled leaves but we cannot find the culprit.  Have you any ideas please?

I'm sure others better qualified than me will correct me if wrong but I think it's a weevil.
My cherry trees have a similar pattern and I found the culprit was a clay coloured weevil.
