hi one of my cucumber plants has lots of fruit developing, I have picked some but others further up the plant are wilting away and dieying off why is this

This often happens with cucumbers. The plant will only support so many fruit at a time, especially if the fruit has been there a while. As the fruit is harvested more new fruit should develop.

What type are they?  Some types need to be pollinated otherwise the fruits will not develop.

increase the humidity by watering the soil around the cucs. temp diff for day and night extreme does not help either

there f1 so should not need pollinating I already had some off them anyway
