Ok , I put my tubers in end feb in base of a trench about3-4 inches deep.  still no sign of them when all other plots have them poking thru,  any ideas or still bit early..

Too cold when you put them in? Maybe they got frosted or rotted away.

Have a dig down to find one to see what is going on.

Yep, I agree. Dig one plant up to see what is going on, or not.

What variety, and were they chitted? Some of my Sarpo kifli are just starting to come up.
