My leeks are producing flower stems....

My remaining leeks have run to seed and I can see a flower stem. CAn I still cook with them?

Yes, but the flower stem up the middle stays hard. It's best to slice them through and remove the hard stem before cooking.

I have left a couple at the edge of the bed to flower, as the bees love them!
