What temperatures do your local forecast show, for the next week or so?

I'm thinking of planting mine in the next day or so, but I don't know what your local weather is like.

There have been some late frosts around these parts over the past few years, so mine have been timed to go in at the end of May or early June if the forecast looks OK.

Having said that, I don't have a 'Plan B' - you do, so I'd say go for it.  ;)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

I'm not far away and have a similar plan to you. Mine are timed to go in around the start of the 2nd week in June. I often find they sulk for a quite a while if I put them in earlier and with this later planting, as well as reducing the risk of frost, they soon catch up.

I have had a dozen out for over a week now, with another dozen waiting to go out next week. Then i will have another dozen just sowed to fill in for those the slugs get.
The north side of my double row is a fence and i put old poly carb sheets on the south side to offer some protection.
Been doing that for years, and in the same place.

Funnily enough roger   mine are next to a fence, ive braced off the fence to hold the canes tight, the way the sun comes up only one half of the garden gets the sun but after mid day when the sun is going over the other half of the garden gets the sun and i sort my planting to that, like you it works for me,,,,,
