Hi I want an easy herb garden in the allotment, so typically sage rosemary thyme parsley, I also want to grow mint but which is the best for mint sauce.

I'm a bit lazy (not to say, very lazy) and I would buy plants for the woody herbs (sage, rosemary and thyme). Soft herbs I'd grow from seed. Can't advise you on the mint, as I'm one of those heathens who can't abide mint sauce.
