Got my allotment key today. Excited but daunted by the clay and grass. Anyway before I start tidying any idea what this is? There are raspberry canes in amongst but these are different. Weed or something edible? Help appreciated.

Are you thinking that the dead sticks may be something?  Try digging and see if there are any Jerusalem artichokes underneath.  If not, the I think it's nothing edible!

Look a bit like dock leaf seeds to me.

I agree the 2nd image looks like Dock, but the first look a bit different (too blurry to be sure) - is it the seed head of the mint-like leaves at the base?
