onion for seed

hi ,i saved two of my biggest onion for seed and have rerooted them in large pots . are they ok to leave out in the winter or should i put them in greenhouse? any advice on saving onion seed would be welcome

It would appear to suggest that you were a bit premature in re-rooting your onions and should have waited until spring They have two hopes, of course, and to give them the best chance, I'd pop them in the greenhouse.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
