Anyone familiar with 'Herald' tomato?
« on: October 27, 2014, 09:47 »
I was given a tomato last week to try when I had mentioned I had an allotment. I was told it was called 'Herald' and was a 50 year old variety. It was a really good size, with a meaty texture and good flavour. I've kept some seeds to try and grow some myself next year. Anyone else know this variety?
My favourite weed is a raspberry ;)

Yes I have always sown Herald tomatoes.  But this year can't find them.  They were a beautiful tasty variety.  We will miss them
