I spent hours/days trying to set up an electric fence a couple of years ago.  I was hampered initially by faulty equipment, and then having to cut through it when a hen got caught up.   Still, after hours of faffing, I only got it live once.

I would now  like to PAY someone to do it.  Do people do this professionally? Does anyone know of any installers in the South Manchester/North Cheshire/Stockport area.

I don't, but maybe if you contacted the people who sell electric fencing, sometimes they have a list of people who do things like that?  Do you know any local farmers or horsey people maybe?
