They don't!!!!  I have much to learn about the corn, I've been shaking the top tassels like there's no tomorrow.

From my inauspicious start they are producing corn all over.  They obviously like my soil so next year it's the grown up version.

Yes, I admit, I thought they grew from the bottom of the stem, not out from the leaves.

Ooohh is the corn ready yet?  I had no idea, but it's taller than me    will go and machete my way into the corn plot to check (rampant pumpkins.....)
