No smell :-(

I grew some lily bulbs and picked the first stems this morning but am disappointed  cos they have no smell at all.
why are so many flowers like this nowadays

Got the same hear with sweet peas they are beautiful and pink but no smell. :(

It's probably the variety - some have virtually no scent, some will perfume the entire garden!

Same with sweet peas.
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

Silly question - are they asiatic lillies, as they have no scent? orientals should have scent, I have never noticed calla/ arum lily having scent and don't know about other lillies  :)

I bought a bunch of flowers for an old lady and was dissapointed at there  eing no smell its one of the things you do is pick them up and smell them its one of their pleasures .
