My Toms :(
« on: July 27, 2015, 21:24 »
My 2 nova toms on my plot have developed brown patches, these are low lying bush toms. The 2 gardeners delight and 1 red zebra next to them are fine (touch wood). I had the same problems with all my toms on the plot last year.
All my toms at home are fine and they were all raised together.
Tomorrow I'm going to go down and dig the Novas up I didn't have any bin bags today.
Should I spray the remaining toms with bayer fungal, I've got a sachet left somewhere, or dig them up or leave them be.

Sorry to hear about your toms.

It looks like this https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?PID=165

I had it the other year in the green house and had nothing left at all now when it is humid I got a fan for the green house.

You said they are outdoors so maybe trying to lift them off the floor a bit to improve air circulation?

It looks furry like Botrytis to me as well.

Prune large areas out, spray small areas with lemon juice. If there's a small piece on a stem wrap the stem round with sellotape usually gives enough time for the tomatoes to ripen before the plants collapse.
