My celery seedlings have died due to heat in greenhouse, forgot to open door before going to allotment. Is it too late to grow more.
Hurray finally retired

Looking at the size of my plants (from seeds sown late Feb and following my usual method) sowing now will give plants almost as big as they are going to end up! The only 'decent' sized plants I've seen on my site are ones that were either bought as plugs or are being grown in a polytunnel.

Thanks for your post.
Is it ok to sow straight in the ground and what variety do you grow.

I think they'll struggle to get to any decent size now as they grow pretty slowly. They recommend sowing under glass to give them a long season to get going.
