My swedes seem to have produced a huge mass of leaves which are taking over and starting to cover other crops, is it ok to give the leaves a good trim back or will this effect them?

When did you sow them that they're too big already? I haven't even sown mine yet 

Cutting leaves will reduce the size of the swede, eventually.

I bought some from the local nursery and put them in last week, they have exploded in that time!
