I a source of unlimited used Coffee grounds, I have been told that you can use them on the lotty as a fertilizer, a soil improver, and they deter slugs (if you put them on top of the soil) is all this true? I suspect they will smell nice when it rains!!

I threw a few bags around my plot on the first year as it was desperately lacking in organic matter. Don't know if it made a difference but would defiantly use again.
