Somthing positive ... (for a change)
« on: July 25, 2014, 13:24 »
With all my "why has this died" posts it's easy to miss the good things  :nowink:

After 7 seasons of trying I finally have a pepino plant and what's more it has flowers   :D I thought after the bench collapsed earlier in the season I'd lost all of them, but this one has stuck it out. It's not terribly exciting or even a  pretty plant but at least now I can chalk it off the list so to speak.

I have no idea if they'll set fruit or if it will ripen - so I could be in for another 7 to find out

:D that's good if I knew what a pepino is!
Am proud of my first chillis ever from seed- and I don't even remember planting different types.... and it finally looks like I have a couple of fat baby fruit at last.  Both thanks to surbie who insipired me about chilli's and gave me a few fat babies when mine didn't germinate.

Things are indeed looking up Lardman  :D :D

Well done you!

Eat those fat babies when they are small and juicy mind you, as they are at their best then  :nowink:

How do I know when?  They are quite small now sort of small golf ball.

Anyone else with a nice growing surprise this year? (don't want to hijack your glory thread Lardman)

It's just another one of those "ooooh that sounds interesting" seed packets I've found over the years.  ::)
