I am growing these for the first time and noticed they have good size heads developing.  I would like to check whether I should cover the heads like you do cauliflower s to avoid them becoming disculoured.  Thanks

No, you don't have to cover the heads.

If you have not protected them thoroughly against Small White butterflies though, I would suggest you examine the stalks inside the heads very carefully, as that is where those sneaky caterpillars like to hide  :ohmy:

A soak in cold salt water makes them let go, but you still have to wash them out.

Just thought I'd mention it, as we had added protein with the first one I harvested and cooked.  ::)
