it took me 3 weeks to temp the ducks to take some food by hand, i assume that's a pretty good sign the ducks feel at home and secure lol

maybe they just couldn't resist the extra juicy lobworms i dug up, they certainly followed me around enough while i was digging lol

now on the fourth week, i had  one of the girls who's very confident taking lettuce out of my fingers yesterday, the only bit i wish i'd got on film was when she tried to run off with a whole chinese lettuce leaf before i could turn the camera on lol

little clip here that i uploaded last night for anyone that wants a peek . . . .

feeding 'spanglez' the duck !

Dave do you just have the one drake? (Steve  )

There was some confusion in the henhouse as to how many drakes you had, so is it just Steve?

What are his ducks called?

flatcap, they're khaki campbells, all under 6 months old, they were about 4 to 5 months when we got them and that was only a month age. when the weather gets better i will rotorvate the ground again just to shift some soil and level it off before it gets grassed and i now already i'm gonna have to keep my eyes all round me for them lol

rosemarycallsthegoddess, there's 3 total we have, steve lol, puddlez and spanglez, had to put the z's on the end cos i call the cat puddles (she's called bubble lol)  and the OH didnt want the cat to get confused lol, i didn't know it could read but there ya go  . . . . . . .  :? ah yes, edit lol, there was confusion (apparently) about there sex, bodger thought there were at least two drakes, i suppose only time will tell but they look far and away enough in colour, plumage etc for me to think he has given us two girls  . . . .  . . .

didnt quite get ya when you asked: what are his ducks called???

wildone, glad you liked em lol  :D
