I think its just a typo Gavin  ;)  There is a Vigour garlic so have changed the post title so people can find it on later searches  :)

Not sure Gavin, but as a fellow onion and garlic fan, I'm keen to see if anyone has any reviews for the OP   :)

it doesn't take much to tempt me to try new types. I have 5 types (100 plants) for this year already... but .... Mmmmm.... dunno.... may just be tempted..

Hi thanks for replying, the name was given to me as vigor & I didn't think to wonder if they had it wrong!
Still can't find too much so still interested if anyone's tried it  ;)

I think the spelling is actually Vigor.  It is a soft necked garlic, originating from France, hence the spelling.   Its full name is I think Vigor Supreme.  It is for autumn planting, harvesting in June / July.

You can find it on French websites, such as this one: http://www.eurobulbe.fr/en/seeds.php

Never tried it though, or buying seed from France.   I think i have seen it for sale in the UK too though in the past.

Reading an old eBay listing, it can be planted early spring. I'll give it a go & see how it turns out!

I have just received the Autumn 2014 Robinson's seed and plant catalogue.
If you look on www.mammothonion.co.uk you can find Vigour garlic under order Code A37.
It reports/ Strong flavoured garlic. Can be planted from September to early spring. 5 bulbs £7.50
