Pulled the rest of mine this morning (all Autumn planted).  Nothing worth having at all.  Biggest was just over an inch across and hadn't divided...

Same here.  I don't need the space so I'm going to leave them in as long as possible - but the one I pulled up just to see looked a bit like a spring onion. (It's not a spring onion).

I haven't had much success with garlic, and we use a lot, so this year I thought I'd try an experiment.

3 different varieties, each planted

some in single pots

some four to a larger pot - both these in last year's tomato compost (ie after being used for tomatoes, not spare) which is basically 50/50 horse manure and bought in compost

some in a large trough

some in the ground

All have had the same watering and feeding regime.

Results are not in yet but it's looking as if the 4 to a pot and the single pots will be streets ahead of the others.

I guess this means that if I want to grow in the ground I should feed more. Or maybe the pots just drained better in the wet weather and it will all be different another year!
