Hiya

Me again :-)

The lower leaves on my globe artichokes are yellowing. My rhubarb has never been happy, it has never flourished whilst other rhubarb on the allotments are amazing. The rhubarb is sat on a bed of rotten cow manure and the globe artichokes on compost and rotten cow manure.

I've been googling and it said there could be a lack of nitrogen, what is the best way to get nitrogen on to the plot? Would there not been nitrogen in the manure?

Also, re: the rhubarb, it says too much water or too little water, and both can suffer from something called Vermicillion Wilt.

Leaves on my squashes and courgettes last year went yellow too...

I really would appreciate any advice
Thanks

If the manure has not totally rotted down it will be low in nitrogen, as this gets used during the 'rotting' process

Have you got any photos?
As there are 'different ways' of going yellow, which can point to different issues!
Very often quite lost- would be more lost if I could work out where I was!- But always find my way home.....

Manure and compost are soil conditioners as opposed to being great for nutrients.

I'd suggest a decent all-round fertiliser for a start.  Either growmore or blood fish and bone.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
