I suppose supermarket tablets, used in the quantities they mention are probably cheaper than Bordeaux mixture so why not give it a try?

It's also interesting to see that willow water could also help, and a quick peep into a Latin/English dictionary shows why!

I think I might just give this a go this year - it might stop both of us getting a headache..!

Already got mine from Superdrug for about 28p a pack and worked out the math for the quantity of water to get the mix correct, 1 number 300mg tablet needs about 3.5 litres of water to be in the middle of the suggested range of 250-500 mg / gallon

I tried this out last year for my tomatoes. I sprayed them every week. They did eventually succumb to the dreaded lurgy but I suspect the plants did look very healthy up until then.
