Hi All.
My QC has the B&S 4 hp engine. The large transmission pulley part o. 19/L17321, has split itself in two as all the tiny spolt welds have sheered! Probably as a result of the belt failing and the rayon cord wrapping itself around every moving part it could find.
Can anybody tell me how to remove the pulley so it can be repaired or replaced. THanks.

Hi, me again.
OK- I've solved my own problem. When I cleaned all the muck off the inside of the pulley area, I found a small grub screw on the "back" of the pulley flange. You need a long hex/allen key to get at it. Have drilled out all the old spot rivets and now refixed it with hand beaten steel rivets. Should last a few more years and see me out!.
Hope this may help somebody in the future who may have a similar problem.
