This weekend will be the first cut, and it'll make the grass easier to dry out as well.

That's if the blasted mower starts...;0)

The landscape contractors mowed the lawns at work at the beginning of February  the lawns are now a thick carpet of moss.  The things they do to justify their existence and make our life unpleasant with the weekly bzzzzzzzzzzzz...

Mowed my lawn today for the first time since about last October - even trimmed the edges by the pond.  ;)

Looks great now (if you don't look too closely!  8))
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older

I did mine too, mown and strimmed - this is the first year since we moved here in 2006 that I have been able to look out in the morning and not get depressed thinking about how to tackle the untidy bits of the garden.  It is all tackleable now, and the strimmer (a good one cheapish off ebay) was the finishing touch!

I was going to report in and say that I've given the lawn it's first cut of the year today but I think that would be telling a lie.  I trimmed the moss is the truest answer.   We found some weed, feed and moss killer in the garage today which we have spread out on a tray to dry out, if we sprinkle that on our lawn there will be nothing left.  I can't remember cutting the lawn for the first time and not filling the hopper thingy up a couple of times, only half full today!
