We made the desision to rehome our girls after florence was reacting to everything in the garden. Our girls used to free range when we were at home but stay in the large pen when we were out etc. But it wasnt working so i took the plunge and rehomed them with a lovely man who already has chooks.

I had a friend who thought i was wrong to let florences troubles stop me keeping chooks but as a mum you want and need to keep your babies/ children safe, so righty or wrongly the girls have now gone to pastures new.

So this weekend will be the massive clean down of their old area.  i am sure they will be happy in there new home, and i just hope florence is now able to enjoy our small garden now.

Its sad you had to let them go, but to a good home and of course Florence's safety comes first for you.  Definately the right decision

Definitely!  Florence must come first.  Shame you had to lose your chooks, but that's life at times BQ!
