Looking through my seed box I found an old pkt of Dobies Spring Cabbage Seed from 2006-2007.
What are the chances I will see any germinate ?  I will keep you posted.

They should do, shouldn't they? At least a few - I had 90% of a set of seeds that were sow by 1992 germinate this year.

Put a pinch of seed on a damp tissue, inside a tupperware-type tub and see if they are still viable, or not.

I would still expect some to germinate..........but what percentage is hard to judge -it depends on storage conditions

Like MOS said try a few on damp paper to give you an idea. The other way of doing it is to sow them properly and see what happens. They stand no chance of growing in the packet that's for certain.
