No. I never blanch them, nor broad beans, and they keep fine for at least a year.

I don't blanch mine either.  I can never grow enough to last a year, so couldn't say!

I never blanch anything can't be bothered, but don't keep anything too long.

Blanching is recommended if you're planning on storing the produce for more than a month or two, as others have said.

It isn't fatal if you don't do it all.
