I dig up some rocket yesterday and to my surprise they have carrot like roots on them can these be eaten??

I know exactly what you mean, rocket can get a ginormous taproot, can't say i've ever tried eating it.

I guess there a brassica so would be more like their tap roots than a carrot

Maybe, but I wouldn't dream of eating the roots of my cabbage.

Whilst they are productive, they may not be palatable.

I'd stick to parsnips for an edible tap root.

We're trying to re-grow rocket because it has such a great underground system.

Just chopped it all down and waiting to see what happens as we speak...
