  apart from finding out who is the easiest touch for titbits, mine go nut's when they see me at locking up time, they get grain then. After that I'm just the blob that must be avoided and exercised round and round the garden

We had a hen that started loudly demanding more and more treats. She would even choose the nest box just inside the pop hole so she could stick her head out listening for footsteps. She would throw standard food on the floor and scream for treats.

It got that I couldn't stand working in the garden any more due to the constant squawking, which would even start if she heard a door or window open. It got so loud it could be heard 2 streets away.

She had to be sent to The Home for Maladjusted Hens (my sister in laws flock - who are all mis-fits, and included a cockerel so noise would not be such a problem), where she became a reformed character.

CROUCHING CHICKENS
a crouching chicken is SO much easier to catch! Our leghorn has just started to do it and she used to be the only hen I couldn't get unless she was inside the henhouse!
Hopefully she'll start laying soon like the other 3 have.
She is the noisiest of all our hennies. Our neighbour wondered if they were all ok the other morning. Fortunately she wasn't complaining, just concerned!

is there somrthing next door that you cant see, but she can sense, eg: a pet rabbit or whatever, or a cat, they sense these things very finely and kick off whenever there is the slightest change.

help with flubenvet wormer
Dear All,
Can anyone help me - just got my Flubenvet from Hyperdrug, and the instructions for the dosage for 1,000 pheasants is less than helpful. Has anyone worked out how much to give per bird ? I've got 12 hens, and would like to know how many grams to put in the feed per day ? Thanks .

Dear Aunt Sally,
Thanks for that, I think I'll do the one pinch per bird per day thing in their mash. X
