My first ever pie

Blackcurrant, used ready made pastry but even though i cook a lot i have never ever done a pie, or pastry come to think of it.  :wub:
dont laugh the pastry shrank but its a start, tempted to try another once i have the fruit available may even have a go with homemade pastry  :ohmy:

It was different, sweet and sour is the best way to describe it  :wacko: i think i will stick to blackcurrant jelly

It looks lovely, I think a common one is blackberry and apple, maybe the apply alters the taste.

in both cases you need to add more sugar to the fruit ! Nice looking first attempt BQ  :)

Good 1st attempt BQ. If you made your pastry & put in a cooked cold filling you can freeze them & cook from frozen. I used to batch bake like this when the children were younger & I worked full time. It was great to pop one in for pud.
