Yes I suspected it might raise some queries and disapproval. Thanks to all who took the time to look at the current legal situation. I certainly don t use it in industrial amounts, I only have 20 tomato plants and use no other insecticides etc. it's just so awful to loose all your crop, which you have nurtured since August, in a couple of days.

Oops that should have read "since March". I'm obviously anticipating losing them in August, as I did last year.

Have you actually had any blight warnings from Blightwatch for your area? Although its been warm and wet where I live, blightwatch has only announced one smith's period and no cases of blight near me yet. I try not to spray anything anyway but I certainly wouldn't unless there was blight about, greenhouses should help to prevent blight because the spores have to come in on something.

We recommend only spraying if you see an outbreak nearby. Doing it without the need to do it is putting unnecessary chemicals on your plants.

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
