Hello, just wondering if anyone can give me some advice please. This is only my second year growing tomatoes and I have flowers towards the top of my plants, but none at the bottom upwards. They are about 4ft tall.

One of the plot holders has told me this is not right and I need to get flowers from the bottom upwards. Can anyone tell me what I have done wrong and how I get flowers to start from the bottom of the stem and work upwards.

It sounds as if your tomatoes have grown too tall because of a lack of light and if that is so there is not much you can do about it. You could try planting the Tom's deeper in the ground in the hope that they will strengthen and put out more trusses.

Try letting one of the sideshoot's grow and use this as the main stem.

Not much you can do this season. As mentioned before, plant them as deep as possible next year. I usually remove the lowest set of leaves and plant them right up to the next set.
