Hi all I was wondering how long to keep my chicks (Chickens) on the heat and chick crumbs, they are about a week old now just starting to show wing feathers, thanks in advance, Mike

On chick crumbs at least a month some say longer ! Heat available till feathered

You need to decrease the heat gradually and watch how the chicks are in the brooder.  If they huddle together under the lamp they are too cold and if they are keeping well away from it it is too hot.

Chick crumb should be given for 6 to 8 weeks and mix it with growers pellets rather than just changing it straight over.
