Where to put

My dad has made me a metal, but moveable 8ft long bean frame or pea frame. My plot has five bays, it is a long plot that runs north to south , would it be best on the west or east side ?

I don't think it matters too much - I've had a bean frame facing east, west, south .... the sun isn't static in the sky from dawn to dusk, so all plants get sunlight at some point, and not to mention they are climbing plants so will seek out light

I am sure john's book said grow them facing the south, but I can't find the book right now so I could be talking rubbish. My bean frame runs east to west as that's the way the beds are

If it's a choice between one or t'other, I'd go for east as that light is stronger.

If you put it running down the west side it will shade the plot, if you put it down the east side it will shade the neigbour's.

Thank you all, I will go with Mumofstig, sounds a plan to me, especially as neighbouring plot pretty much weeds
