As for me - I grew dwarf french beans up 7 foot poles one year. ::)
Guess what - they didn't get to the top of the frame!!

 :D  :D  :D
I like that - I could see me doing that too!

I did the opposite and grew 7' sugarsnaps up 3' supports (in my defence, there was no mention of their eventual height on the packet - honest!)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older

I did the tomato thing that seems quite popular, planted several types in propagators
in groups of four modules and the same with different kinds of peppers and memorised
where each one was intending to label them later..........then promptly forgot which was
which and still don,t know. So may have bush and trailing types in growbags and
cordons in pots unsupported. Doh!   What an amateur!
After a 3 year wait i finally have my allotment. HELP! (2/10/11)

not a good idea to burn dirty chicken  paper and hay on compost heap and finding out that the hose was not connected when it turned into a towering inferno

could see the flames for miles ( embarrassed face )

Put a 8 ft row of spring onion seed in ( or so I thought) Realised a few weeks later it was Leeks had hundreds of leeks, still eating them must still have about 30. Enjoyed the eating but took up a lot of space as I didnt want to waste any and have no one to give them to.
Taken over neglected veg garden at new home. Enemy number 1 Ground Elder. Then there is the furry terror - bunnies - to contend with!
Made a start have beds established but moved in too late for serious planting. We shall see what 2015 brings.

that's the best thing about this gardening forum the more ''experienced'' members get things wrong too :D It really gives hope to us newbies to know it's not just me making mistakes especaily when your plot is next to ones that never seem to fail at anything. :( My mistake last year was to allow my son to ''weed'' the carrot bed guess what he pulled out instead??
