Blimey mike that is early. You in the uk? What variety are they as I have various supposedly early ones and am only just getting flowers on some of them.

Well done. You obviously have the touch. The early warmth of the conservatory would have helped. I have a couple of gardeners delight which I kept in the in the propogator as long as I could but then they had to contend with an unheated polytunnel along with my other varieties. They do seem to be ahead of the others though at the moment, including Latah which is meant to be ultra early. Desperate for some warmer weather though. It was less than 10 degs in there when I just looked !

Keep it up mate. You never stop learning. And there will always be disasters. E.g. How come I've only had one solitary marrow germinate?......I mean, who can't grow marrows? !!!
Oh, and that was in a propogator!

Your marrow seeds been talking to my pumpkin seeds then ??
Sometimes my plants grow despite, not because of, what I do to them.

Are the toms planted in the pots they will grow on in? All mine are still in 5 inch pots in the HG waiting to go in the unheated greenhouse, have been pinching the flowers out for a while so they concentrate on getting rooted and growing on when the nighttime temps allow me to plant them out, rather than use all the energy in fruiting.

Yes mine are all in their final positions and growing well. I've never considered pinching off the flowers to hold them back, that's a new one on me. I just let them flower if they want, then keep them well fed and the plant carries on growing and throwing off more trusses of flowers. Just watch they don't get pot bound if they stay in them too long.
