[Beetroot queen]

Ok so we did some potatoes in black bins out the back, my twelve year old came up with a plan, they laid chicken poop etc in the base then a layer of home compost from the dalek then normal compost and put the seed pots on this and covered with more home compost. Is this the reason they need covering every twelve hours or so. I did them late last night and at 6am this morning I opened the blind to see more leaves happily looking at me. Mine on the plot haven't even broken through yet.

They seem to be going mad, I don't remember them being so speedy in the past.

Are the covered with a lid?

The ones I started in bags in the greenhouse are way over the top of the bag now.
And I've moved them outside as I am seriously running out of room!
I have about 10 bags altogther all growing at different speeds from later sowings so should have a good run of spuds when ready to harvest.

No lid, they have reached the top and beyond and are outside so f frost strikes it's a nice fleece throw over for them
