Mine were sown before the snow and 10% of them have just emerged.

Great comments - looks like we're all in the same boat. Mine have, eventually, come up. In the meantime I took the advise and planted some more in the GH. Looks like it's bean city later!

I planted some in pots in the greenhouse at around the same time as you, 1/2 have come through about  3 ''

tall and have been planted outside .

The other 1/2 are emerging now , so quite a difference .

Had a bit of a furtle today and had a pleasant surprise. My profuse flowers are starting to give way to profuse miniature beans... nearly all of them ... quite unusual.
So those odd dopey bees buzzing around in the cold a while ago couldn't have been as dopey as they appeared.
Excellent news, although I did see the odd few ants poking about looking for blackfly. Do they farm flies on beans like they farm on artichokes ?

I always plant half a packet of an over wintering variety like aquadulce or the Sutton in Nov/Dec and the rest of the in March. Both are through now and looking healthy but obviously they are at different stages in their growth. I usually find by planting early, you can pick them before the blackfly takes over. :)
