Not sure whether to add lime to the plot I have read not to lime when you have added manure.   Wondered when we put in the cauliflower, kale sprouts should we add some grow more.  Thanks

Hi.  I am not an expert - but I believe that you shouldn't lime at the same time as manuring your brassica bed as they react together. I think the way to go is to manure in the autumn and then lime in the spring.  A shake of growmore will help the brassica's when you plant them out as they are a greedy crop.  I sure there will be more experienced growers who will correct me if I'm wrong!  :happy:

As long as you haven't just added the manure, it will be ok to lime 

You can add Growmore,  Blood Fish & Bone or chicken manure pellets - Brassicas like any of these

Don't forget to plant them really firmly.....actually stomp the ground around the plant and leave an indentation to allow water to get right to the roots. As to the lime sprinkle each plant about a foot away in a circle.
